Whole Brain Parenting
You’ve tried the usual strategies.
Time-outs.
Reward charts.
Counting to three.
And yet the meltdowns, power struggles, and overwhelming moments keep happening, leaving you exhausted and wondering what you’re missing.
The truth is, most parenting strategies focus on controlling behavior, but behavior is often a signal from the brain and nervous system.
When we understand what is happening inside a child’s brain and body, the behavior begins to make more sense.
This introductory workshop explores the foundations of behavior through a Whole Brain approach. Parents learn how sensory processing, nervous system regulation, and brain development influence how children react, cope, and connect.
Just as importantly, parents begin to understand their own brain and nervous system, and how co-regulation shapes a child’s ability to calm, organize, and recover.
Through simple explanations and practical tools, parents learn to recognize sensory patterns, support regulation in real time, and respond in ways that reduce power struggles and build calmer, more connected relationships.
In this workshop you will learn:
• How sensory processing influences behavior
• Why dysregulation happens and what it looks like
• How to support your child’s nervous system during big emotions
• Practical strategies that support a calm and connected relationship
